Quick blurb about Espur
espur has 3 planets that are inhabitable:
- kerz: rocky planet with minimal oxygen atmosphere. surface
level is enough to sustain human life for up to
30 minutes. kerz is loaded with heavy metals and rare radioactive
substances. It is an excellent resource for a civilization
in the post-atomic phase of technological development. what people reside
there have shitty, shitty lives.
- zkro: jungle planet. harsh extreme lush environment. technically habitable, but
animal life on the planet is very advanced. Getting any kind of hold there
is difficult without advanced technology. svarogians however have been
using the planet like a resourceful national park for generations. (pictures
of zkro are displayed and recognized like half-dome from yosemite) The people
of zkar have a history of trying to colonize zkro, but the svarogians are
very protective of their valueable asset. Most expeditions from zkar to
zkro have failed due to being overcome by attack from creatures of all sorts in
addition to mysterious bacterial and viral infections. Recently though folks
on zkar decided that the best way to create a foothold was to destroy a large
area and then land in the middle of the blast zone once cooled. They implemented
this plan to the horror of the svarogians, and the zkro caretakers immediately
went to work repairing their park. the engineers and scientists on zkar
were baffled when the expedition found most of the blast site covered in new
growth and inhabited by more of the same creatures that helped destroy previous
missions. It was at this point where conspiracy theorists on zkar began to suspect
outside interference with their plans.
- zkar: zkar is the most populous planet in the espur system. An earth-like planet with
slightly more weather extremes, zkar is not such a bad place to make a go of it.
More than 70% of the land on zkar is located in temporate climate zones that
support more than 90% of the population. A type of caste system is in wide
use there. There are 5 main levels in the system, but within those levels are
infinite sub-levels, some which exist only in certain regions. It is rare for
people to ascend a main level in their lifetime, but it has happened. More
likely is adjusting your position in the sub-levels of the current main level.
While there exists a constant desire to rise, most people are happy. Because
everyone outside the bottom rungs of the bottom main level have some feeling
of luxury and entitlement, there is little motivation for revolution.
